The local factor is what is going to have a huge swing in this election. I do not personally support the Lib Dems as a whole (I have voted for them before) but based on their candidate DID vote for Ana Savage-Gunn in the PFCC elections, having met Jonathan a few times at events he comes across as a very capable local Cllr with a can do attitude, the perfect person you would want for a local MP. With many residents in villages knowing he is local rather than someone parachuted in, existing MP in the county all but ignoring constituents and the Tory vote base crumbling appearing to split in numerous directions to parties like reform, this really is an election where each vote will make a difference.

I am not in his area but really do wish him the best of luck as on paper he seems like the best candidate to represent the locals.

Jonathan is a top fella, Daventry would be best served by him, a local person who will work for his constituents conscientiously!

Really the only way for Daventry constituents not to wake up on 5th July with a Conservative MP is to vote Labour. MRP polling by Survation as shown on Best for Britain site shows how tactile voting will change things in each constituency.

I have been impressed by Jonathan Harris as a councillor. He has a clear grasp of just how serious the climate crisis is, and has been proactive in promoting the UK100 process that guides local authorities on mitigation and adaptation. We need more climate-aware MPs.

I always feel sorry for the LibDem party when it is criticised for the "2010 manifesto pledge that it broke when it entered the coalition". Every manifesto is an "if A then B" promise. If the country elects us to govern then this is what we'll do. We didn't elect them to govern; we only elected enough of them to form an alliance with the Conservatives. I know it's their own silly fault for getting into bed with the Nasty Party, but that doesn't change the contract. It's unfair of us to fail to deliver A but still expect them to deliver B.
