Job well done, NNJ, bringing to light the last despicable twist in this awful man's tale. No chance of him being sacked, of course.

If it were not for the investigations of Sarah and this publication, his transgressions would largely be unknown and engagement with the electorate being as low as it is, he would have likely returned to carry on with his cronyism. I totally agree he should go now, however if that were to happen we would be in the emergency situation of no Police Chief nor Fire Chief as both are under investigation and then no PFCC to direct any replacements. The fact we are even in such a situation speaks volumes about how poor Mold's leadership has been, getting propped up by the toothless Police Crime Panel for as long as he has been.

He should go now and not wait until the election. He has disgraced the office he holds. In any other job he would probably be at least suspended and then dismissed.

He should be dismissed no allowed to carry on till May. The whole thing smacks of corruption .

Great work Sarah, without NN Journal this disgraceful Commissioner would have been in post for another 5 years.

May elections couldn’t come soon enough. He’s still got two months of high salary to enjoy. Hmmm.

As an ex-firefighter, I'm sure I speak for one and all when I say, 'Good riddance!'

Just to qualify Mold's aberrant appointment and 'stewardship', two of his colleagues permanently injured me a few years ago in a freak accident. I declined the financial settlement of close to 100,000, electing instead for a public apology. Stephen Mold and his staff refused, insisting instead on wasting our taxpayer-funded public purse on a very, very straightforward claim. I will, of course, donate whatever my lawyers now acquire to charity, but this is despicable partisan petulance at its peak.

Excellent - perhaps he could advise Frank Hester on how to behave after disgracing himself.
