Dunning-Kruger all the way down. Fund management, especially when involving defined-benefit schemes, is a skilled job. These buffoons are incapable of rational thinking.
"a new Reform pool manager" would literally be "jobs for the boys"! On the plus side, it's an opportunity for the council's pension funds to finally disinvest from fossil fuels. Reform would do that, right?
I found with one of my FS scheme pensions, the Trust had paid advisers over a million for advice that resulted in similar sums being wiped off the fund. The Trustees justified it by saying that the Fund was still sufficient to cover their obligations to the Pensioners. The Company, quite rightly , refused to top up the Fund. So much for Trustees being the dupes.

So the pension fund managers are ripping us off and we should employ Millionaire Pension Fund Managers who work for Reform UK Ltd.
Yeah that sounds like a good SCAM to me
Great article and an interesting link. As an employee of a Reform-led council I have to be discreet, but they do appear to be rather crap.
