Shocking that there is such a dearth of talent that the Tories cannot find squeaky clean candidates for the roles in the Police and Fire Commissioners remit. These roles should be sorted now by the new commissioner when they get elected in May.
If I were to learn that Mold was a senior software engineer in the Fujitsu corporation in 2010, working on a new contract for the Post Office called “Horizon” and that he was also visiting Wuhan, China in 2019, I would not be in the least surprised.
This man is either jinxed or a complete and utter fool, I suspect the latter.
Looks like the terminally hapless Mr Mold is going to need a new Chief Fire Officer candidate, therefore.

But I now remember that, years ago, she had a boyfriend who was a fireman, so she might, even now, vaguely remember odd things he could have said about putting out fires. Is she over-qualified for the job?
