Another week, another interim appointment in Northamptonshire police, fire and crime commissioner’s office
The senior appointments merry-go-round continues

An interim chief executive has been appointed to lead the Northants police, fire and crime commissioner’s office after the departure of Nicci Marzec.
The county’s police, fire and crime panel met once again yesterday to confirm the new appointment of another interim position in commissioner Stephen Mold’s office after several weeks of turmoil which began with the sudden departure of fire chief Mark Jones.
Mold appointed close friend and colleague Nicci Marzec to Jones’ role, despite no operational fire experience, and after a protest by the Fire Brigades Union; members of the accountable police, fire and crime panel and widespread media attention, Marzec stood down after just ten days in post and then quit the commissioner’s office entirely.
