Sunak vs Truss: 'I'm not impressed by either of them'
As ballots go out this week, we speak to local Conservative councillors about the party's leadership contest

Liz Truss is currently the favourite to become the next prime minister but with Rishi Sunak reportedly planning a 'ground war' to convince undecided Conservative members, it's clear the leadership contest is far from over.
As ballots start landing on members' doorsteps this week we look at the candidates' key policies and speak to local councillors about their views on the contest.
Rishi Sunak
The former chancellor previously said that tax cuts would have to wait until the economy was in a better position but this week he announced he would slash income tax from 20p in the pound to 16p by the end of the next parliament. His other pledges include:
Scrapping the 5% VAT rate on household energy for one year if the price cap on bills rises above £3,000
The introduction of a £10 fine for missed NHS appointments
A continuation of the Rwanda immigration policy
