Great to see councillors working hard to address issues of concern to local residents.

Do private landlords have to issue yearly safety certificates to the council?

Does more need to be done to inform people what a HMO is?

How do residents know if a HMO is registered, is this information available to the public? Could be useful for residents to be able to do a quick check and report it if it isn’t registered as a cause of concern.

Good to see Councillors out and about seeing things for themselves

Usual thorough and fair NNJ reporting, and many people are clearly working hard and doing their best, but it reads like a chronicle of despair and failure. Is the new unitary authority going to get their act together quickly enough to make any real difference?
