62 neighbourhoods across Northamptonshire have been identified as being at ‘greatest risk of serious financial hardship’ due to soaring energy costs.
The ‘energy crisis hotspots’ are areas where energy use is high and household income is low.
Research by Friends of the Earth has found that 22 per cent of neighbourhoods in North Northamptonshire (43) are said to be energy hotspots. The average energy bill in those areas are expected to rise from £2,077 to £3,017 from October.
