I joked about this during the interview actually haha Wanted to get off on an honest footing with everyone, and say that Cameron was someone that really inspired me as a child at school still, though. Nepotism isn't a good thing and any lobbying needs scrutiny to ensure we're remaining meritocratic, so that's where reform is needed.
The issue is though that Cameron introduced the current legislation and the flaws you mention were pointed out to him by a professional lobbyist as it happens, however he ploughed on and the problem remains.
How coud you find David Cameron inspiring? Yes he was young but at the end of the day he gave us austerity - same old solutions, which included slashing local government spending. Northampton hasn't fared too well over this has it?
Cameron was young & fresh it may have seemed but this was style over substance. He was an empty suit. The Big Society concept faded into nothing whilst austerity gripped firmly into reality.
Yes he preached a less intolerant Tory mindset to non-WASPS, notably to gay marriage. But to me he gave us unnecessarily harsh austerity (we're borrowing more & cutting less currently - could've done the same back then), gave us the riots as a result, & as usual the rich got richer, the Bankers got off scot free & we saw the explosion of food banks & the proliferation of bookies, pound & charity shops on our High streets.
Really interesting candidates particularly the younger ones.
I wonder if the Conservative citing David Cameron regrets it now the former Prime Minister is at the centre of the lobbying row engulfing the Tories.
