Long-awaited bypass step closer

A step closer but still a long wait until work can begin

An update on the long awaited A422 Farthinghoe bypass between Banbury and Brackley will be brought to the West Northamptonshire Council cabinet meeting next week.

A consultation on four possible routes for the bypass was undertaken between 6 November 2020 and 3 January 2021. It found that 87 per cent of respondents were in favour of a bypass with one route in particular being preferred (48 per cent for the V1/Orange option).
