Given the very wide range of acceptable ID and the long-stop of ID provided by the council, it is a surprise to hear that there are a "considerable number" still claiming to be disenfranchised. Could you elaborate further, perhaps with a little demographic information?
Why aren't you telling me that there aren't... ? We shall see though in the days following from the analysis of the data. These are people who are not claiming to be 'disenfranchised' these are people who aren't voting because they do not have qualifying forms of id. and they have told me just that. It's not too far beyond the 'ken of man to appreciate which part of the demographic these people might belong - or is it...
And I should have mentioned the deeper long-stop of the postal vote, which doesn't require photo ID, and which you can fill in and hand over at the polling station, if you still want something like the in-person voting experience.
No, my imagination does not extend to divining the group of people you are talking about. You are going to have to give me a clue or two.

Was concerned to discover a considerable number of disenfranchised voters in my area due to a lack of photo id. (and no useful reason to possess one).
