With none of the Conservatives leadership candidates showing interest in climate issues the North Northamptonshire Tories are simply following their national leaders.
Yesterday's Daily Mail article was full of comments from scientists saying that the heatwave was due to climate change and hoping that it's a wake-up call. Then the readers' comments were full of all the usual denials: it's not real, it's not us and it's not bad. It's hard for a wake-up call to be effective if people have their eyes screwed tightly shut and their fingers in their ears.
Once again NN Journal are raising issues that are not being dealt with by personnel who are responsible and have the ability and attitude to just go missing without accountability and Climate Emergency just didn’t happen 2 days ago with the heat wave !
So let’s start with identifying all the members of the Climate Emergency Committee that was set up in 2017 under a Central Government directive to the previous NCC and answers to some of the issues such as Zero Emission buses, Build Back Better Housing after Covid, Tree Planting in Public Open Spaces and Air Quality Measurement and controls etc….
