A look back at some of Natalie’s most impactful stories

With Natalie’s departure from NN Journal, I wanted to send out a weekend post sharing again some of her most impactful stories.

When we started NN Journal together in January 2021, our aim was to write stories about people and issues within Northamptonshire which, due to the decline of the local media, were not getting the attention they needed or deserved.

Over the past two years Natalie has written many stories about issues that affect women, people living in deprived areas, migrants, young people whose lives are being threatened by knife crime and repeatedly shone a light on housing issues.

She has also exclusively broken a number of local political stories about happenings within West Northamptonshire Council, particularly to do with the controversial plan to sell off land to the Northampton Town Football Club.

Here are some of Natalie’s stories which have made a difference, firstly the story of Greg, a very early piece that helped bring NN Journal to the attention of many readers.
