Lee Barron is absolutely correct. To have a town the size of Corby without a police station is ludicrous. The town is also mocked by the original police station, in Elizabeth Street, standing empty and unused. Presumably, although unused, there are maintenance costs.
In my opinion, all the political parties have run out of ideas completely.
Why? Because of all the cuts from central government.
Council have to drill into past expenditure and ask themselves what has help the communities and what did not. All elected councillors have a duty of care to their communities that they represent. Did they consult them on any spending in their locality? Whatever they did was it worthwhile and was it "Value for money"?
Unfortunately, in both unitaries Council, they have these tarnished Councillors, whom they should have got rid off. Instead of that, we have remaining councillors having to defend them because of party politics. Absolutely disgusting!
I’m extremely disappointed to read that the councillors’ turnout was so poor and that one party had no one there.
