Donations received by Conservative MPs from Russian sources have been back in the spotlight this week as a result of the Pandora papers.
The leak of documents has revealed more about the offshore structures of many companies and the dealings of Russian oligarch Viktor Fedotov has made the headlines.
The former oil tycoon is accused of being part of a corruption scandal first alleged by now imprisoned Russian lawyer Alexei Navalny back in 2008, in which he claimed £4bn had been taken from the Russian taxpayers, as part of a defraud of Russian state pipeline monopoly Transneft.
Russian President Vladimir Putin later said the matter had been investigated and no criminal offences had been committed.
