Great work by NNJournal to expose this man. Questions need to be asked why WNC and police didn't request DBS for him. We're there others who should have had DBS?

This council doesn't appear to know what they are or should be doing.

As a volunteer, Independent Member of the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime panel for eight years, and now a volunteer with the Age UK Northamptonshire I have had to have an enhanced DBS. In my time on the panel, I found out how dismissive some Councillors were about domestic abuse, and actually would makes jokes about it. However, I met some Councillors who really wanted to help their communities. They were in a minority. Jimmy Saville and Gary Glitter worked with children in full view of huge TV audience and look what they did? I would have thought the WNC and the Police would have fallen over themselves to get this information out on this case to all interested party and not to used delaying tactics such as submitting a freedom of information request.

Were the applicants to provide the bus service informed of the decision (or non decision) or not ? In any event they, the Council, don't appear to be in any hurry to alleviate the situation. I often get the feeling that these decision makers have never been on or relied on a bus since they were first let out on their own.

Once again the Planning Officers seem to have different criteria to the rest of us. I don't often wonder why?.
