Fight to save green space spurs on launch of Green Party in Desborough
The battle to save the Ise Valley in the A6 town has led to a new branch being formed.

The residents behind a campaign to save a beloved green space in Desborough have set up a new branch of the Green Party.
Sammi Cooke, Gemma Harbour and Kevin O’Brien have been leading the charge for the past few months to try and save the Ise Valley from becoming a housing development.
The 32 acre green space has been a much loved area for Desborough folk for many decades and encouraged by the trio’s campaign, hundreds of objections have now been lodged against the Bellway Homes planning application to build up to 255 homes on the site.
The planning application is anticipated to be decided later this summer.
