Do you understand what "net zero" means Tiberious? Until we achieve net zero we are adding greenhouse gases like methane and CO2 to the atmosphere day after day after day, heating up the planet day after day after day for ever and ever. If we never stop heating it up it'll keep getting hotter and hotter for ever and ever. Who in their right mind thinks that's a good idea? People think of net zero as a political position that can be negotiated. It isn't, it's a scientific measurement, and the laws of thermodynamics don't negotiate.
Do you understand that the UK produces less than 1% of global CO2 emmisions and that CO2 only makes up about 0.04% of the atmosphere. Whereas water vapor a perfectly naturally ocurring but potent greenhouse gas makes up about 4% of the atmosphere ie 100 times more abundant than C02. Therefore the NUT zero cult is causing massive harm to the UK economy and sky high energy bills to influence something on the order of 1/100th of 1/100th . So not even big enough to be a rounding error on the global scale. And to put that into even more perspective as of July 2025, there were 1,195 operational coal power plants on the Chinese Mainland !
I have written to both Reform and the councils making them aware of a fuel Optimiser that can eliminate all polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (emissions) at combustion. If they are fueling their own vehicles at a yard the additive can be added. All vehicles and Generators would be carbon free within months.
The government have been weak to look at this patented and certified technology. MP G. Kitchen did spend 5 minutes looking at the paperwork but refused to move it forward, fobbing me off with a poor excuse suggesting I obtain a PhD Study or asking amazon to put it in their vehicles.
There is an easy way to hit the target. I offered a trial for free and NNC again fobbed me off. WNC failed to respond. Reform including Matt Goodwin have failed to see the benefits.
Scrapping the interim net zero targets is an outrageous dereliction of duty by the WNC leadership. While 33% of the electorate voted Reform the other 67% voted for parties committed to net zero. Reform have a duty to govern for all of their residents, not just those who voted for them. Between 2019 and 2024, Reform received more than 90% of its funding, £2.3 million, from individuals and companies linked to fossil fuels, polluting industries and climate science denial. It's clear who they are working for, and it isn't the residents of West Northamptonshire.
