Conservative mutiny as two leave North unitary and Rothwell Town Council becomes independent

Two North Northamptonshire councillors representing Rothwell have decided to leave the party, along with five of their town council colleagues over plans to turn a green space into a temporary traveller site.
Cllr Cedwien Brown informed the Kettering Conservative Association yesterday afternoon that herself and Cllr Joseph Smyth, along with a number of town councillors would be leaving the party.
