Proposals to change Northamptonshire's constituency boundaries have been published

The Boundary Commission for England has published proposals which would see the majority of English constituency boundaries changed.
The aim of the plans is to make the number of electors in each constituency more equal with an electorate of between 69,724 to 77,062 in each seat.
This means the number of constituencies in England will increase from 533 to 543. The commission is consulting on the proposals and will report back to parliament by July 2023.
What is proposed for Northamptonshire?
Only one of Northamptonshire’s seven parliamentary constituencies has the permitted electorate size meaning that changes have been proposed in all areas.
If the proposals go ahead as outlined the biggest change would be a shake-up in North Northamptonshire. Because of the need to reduce the electorate in the Corby constituency the plans would see Raunds, Hargrave and Stanwick being transferred into Peter Bone’s Wellingborough…
